A 25-year-old man identified as Carlos DTL was taken into custody in downtown Cuenca after authorities found him in possession of drugs, police confirmed on Friday, May 1.
The arrest took place in the San Blas parish as part of an operation carried out by the Anti-Drug Investigation Unit. The detention followed prior investigative work focused on suspected drug activity in the area.
During the operation, officers seized 780 doses of cocaine, along with a mobile phone, ammunition cartridges, and cash.
Carlos DTL remains in custody and has been placed at the disposal of the competent authority as legal proceedings move forward.
